HOUSTON (KTRK) -- This is not your Grandpa's bowling alley.
Bowl & Barrel's first Houston location has opened its doors and elevated the bowling experience to a whole new level. Located in City Centre, the new upscale boutique bowling alley also comes with a full service restaurant that includes a unique handcrafted food and drink menu.
The design element of this 10,000 square foot hot spot was modeled after an old warehouse in Brooklyn, NY with exposed brick and reclaimed wood. The interior design combines rustic and sophisticated touches, creating a comfortable, yet classy atmosphere for guests.
There are 14 lanes of fun for new or experienced bowlers, with full service to the house-made-menu from Chef Daniel Menchaca. The most popular items to eat are his eclectic gourmet burgers, exotic shared plates, homemade pizzas, artisan meatballs and signature giant soft-baked pretzels.
Native Houstonian and co-owner Kyle Noonan said, "We've put a lot of love and thought into the design of the space, the development of our menu and the selection of our staff to make this a one-of-a kind entertainment destination for Houstonians to enjoy."
