Save on farm to market meat in bulk with drive thru service
You might sometimes pick up dinner at the drive-thru, but one service lets you pick up bacon, chicken, and beef in bulk.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- You might sometimes pick up dinner at the drive-thru, but one service lets you pick up bacon, chicken, and beef in bulk.

The farm to market Zaycon Foods has been around for a few years, but the company has expanded.

The popularity and low prices mean it now has more locations, more variety of foods, and more deliveries to your area!

Some loyal customers have been picking up Zaycon Foods for the past couple of years.

"It saves us a lot of money," said customer Francis Beasley. "Every time they come around, I am here."

Within a one-hour window, Zaycon Foods will load up customers' cars with meat in bulk at a designated location. The company's mission is to get the freshest meats delivered directly to their customers from the farm with minimum stops.

"These chickens here, we just loaded the truck, less than an hour here in Houston," said Everal Roberts with Zaycon Foods.

When Eyewitness News was there, the meat of the day was chicken. A box contained 40 lbs. of boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.89/lb.

"We try to be 30 to 40 percent cheaper than the store," Roberts said.

"Even on sale with your cards and all that, it's a lot better here," said customer Darryl Jones.

It's not just the price that customers agree with.

"The chicken is great! The breasts are way bigger, way juicier, it's just tastes better," said customer Wade Johnson.

Next week, Zaycon will be back in the Houston area with chicken again.

In December, ham, lean ground beef, and Beligian waffles will be on the menu to be sold in bulk.

To place an order, you will have to sign up online for free and become a member. Then you can choose which meat event you would like to attend and place your order on their website.

Because it is a bulk order, Zaycon requires a minimum of 40 lbs. for chicken and beef. If you don't have the freezer space, you can always split the order with someone else and still score the deal.
