It's a weekend full of free concerts ahead of the Super Bowl

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- You don't have to break the bank to take part in the Super Bowl fun this weekend.

We found a few events offering music and fun - for free!

If country music is your thing, the Super Weekend Block Party happening in Midtown may be right for you. The free concerts at Bagby Park start at 4pm and run through 8pm. They'll also have lawn games and mega-sized beer pong.

On the west side, Memorial City is hosting its countdown to kickoff series. The Katy School of Rock, Sonic Boom Drumline and Lunchbox Dance Crew will be performing at The Square starting at 6pm.

And down in Pearland, Nashville recording artist Raelynn headlines Saturday's free concert at Pearland Town Square. The outdoor concert starts at 7pm.

If you don't want to be near downtown for any of the big Super Bowl festivities, no problem. We have other free options.

There's a Lunar New Year celebration at the Viet HOA Center at the Beltway 8 Plaza. It's a two day event with plenty of music and performances. It's 10:30am to 6pm each day.

Celebrate the Super Bowl at City Centre with a big game bash Saturday and Sunday. There will be music and drinks for the big game bash. Concerts, beer samplings and former NFL player appearances are part of the fun.

Bank of America's Museums on US Programs offer Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders free weekend access to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and Children's Museum.
