Student gets perfect score on SAT and ACT tests
A Bellaire high school student achieved a perfect score on SAT and ACT tests.

BELLAIRE, TX (KTRK) -- A teenager at Bellaire High School has done something that most students only dream of -- getting the perfect score on a college exam. But he didn't just achieve that lofty goal one test, but two!

Antony Yun managed to answer every single question correctly on both the SAT and the ACT, but he says he didn't follow any special formula for success.

"I did look over some notes," he said. "In the time coming up to the test, I had some vocabulary words I skimmed over."

Antony had a good role model in his older brother Daniel. He too scored perfectly on the SAT four years ago.

Antony explained, "You could say that it runs in the family, in a way, since my brother also got a perfect score, but I guess with only two data points, you can't, um, correlation doesn't always imply causation."

Spoken like a true stellar student. Antony's teachers were not shocked to hear he scored perfectly.

AP art history teacher Chris Smith said, "Antony is more, really thoughtful, a little bit quiet, but he works well in the groups, there's no doubt."

Antony credits his peers for pushing him to get better, and, of course, his brother.

"In the back of my head, I knew I had to at least tie my brother if not beat him," Antony said.

So how do you beat a perfect score? Do it twice - taking the top score on not only the SAT, but the ACT as well.

Antony wants to study computer science. He's looking at several colleges, including University of Texas, MIT and Rice.
