2 Houston officers crash into pole in SE Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two Houston police officers had minor injuries after crashing their cruiser into a pole in southeast Houston.

Investigators said the crash happened just after 9 p.m., in the 9400 block of Cullen near Pederson.

Police said the officers were driving southbound on Scott Street when a vehicle pulled out in front of them.

The unit swerved to avoid hitting the other vehicle, and ended up slamming into a pole.

One of the officers was transported to the hospital, but again only had minor injuries.

The other officer was treated at the scene.

We do not know the names of either officer involved in the crash.
