HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Heavy winds toppled stacks of shipping containers at Barbours Cut Terminal in the Houston Ship Channel as severe weather moved through on Wednesday afternoon.

Many of the toppled containers were empty, Cooper/Ports America general manager Alex Montoya said, but some full containers were also overturned.

Lt. John Krueger with the La Porte Police Department provides an update after severe weather moved through the area.

According to Lt. John Krueger with the La Porte Police Department, there were two injuries reported at the port, but it was not immediately clear where in the terminal or how the two injuries occurred. He added that no tornadoes appear to have touched down in La Porte.

Employees at the scene said the heavy winds also moved a modular trailer across the parking lot.
