Houston calls for action after Orlando club shooting

Houston interfaith groups and community leaders are calling for action after the Orlando club shooting at a press conference today.

At the press conference today at the Montrose Center,the groups planned to offer condolences to the victims of the shooting and their families. They also planned to ask the community to participate in a local blood drive for those injured in the attack.

"We condemn this attack and offer our deepest condolences to the victims and their families," said Mustafaa Carroll with the Houston chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "We repudiate anyone or any organization that claims to justify such an appalling act of violence."
