Meet Jo Ann Petersen
Jo Ann Petersen has dedicated much of her life to philanthropic endeavors in Houston. She has been a long time supporter of Covenant House Texas serving in every imaginable capacity from Board member to Board President. She has chaired the annual Gala three times, currently serves as the Underwriting chair and was the 2002 Covenant House Texas Gala honoree. Jo Ann founded Trees of Hope in 1990 which remains a vital fundraiser addressing homelessness in Houston. She served as Treasurer of the organization for five years, was President of the Board in 1996 and was recognized as a Lifetime Member in 2010.Joanne has also dedicated much of her time to work with the American Cancer Society and the Baylor Research Advocates for Student Scientists (BRASS) program as well as Elves and More, Amazing Grace Hospice, Kickstart and the American Heart Association. The Greater Southwest Houston Chamber of Commerce recognized her as a Pillar of the Community.
