Estela Sandoval Cockrell

Estela Sandoval Cockrell refers to herself as a recovering litigation attorney who now focuses her time and efforts on philanthropy, development and helping a variety of non-profit organizations raise money and do it well. She has been specifically focused on the areas of: prevention, education and medicine. She serves and has served on boards and committees such as Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Wilderness, and the QC Committee at St John's School. She has also chaired a variety of events and galas over the years in both Aspen and Houston for organizations like Houston Methodist, Texas Children's Hospital, Life House, Candlelighters, Hermann Park, Young Life and Reasoning Mind to name a few. In fact, she is very proud of one of her latest chairing accomplishment where she and her husband raised a large sum of money for the Houston Methodist Hospital's annual campaign, which is called the Society for Leading Medicine. Estela seems to never tire of being involved with organizations whose bottom line is helping those in need. She is an advisory director of the Cockrell Family Fund and she loves being involved in the community thru that institution. Estela is obsessed with fashion, art and interior design. And the tennis court seems to be a place she feels quite at home.! She is married to husband David Cockrell and finds her self extremely busy with her philanthropic advocacy, entertaining, travel, spending time in the Rockies and keeping up with their two sporty sons. Estela firmly believes that all of these interactions, partnerships and successes are made possible thru the grace of God.
