With that idea in mind Goodwill has partnered with ABC-13 to unveil a new series that highlights individuals who are striving to be the best that they can be and excelling, through the help of Goodwill's employment programs. Each month a different Goodwill employee, client, volunteer or donor will be featured and will share their story on how Goodwill changed their life. This month, we are highlighting Sabrena. Meet Sabrena -- Success Story of the Month
Sabrena's journey with Goodwill Houston began over 20 years ago, when a high school counselor spoke to her about the work and education programs that the organization offered for those with disabilities. Not only did Goodwill hire her, they provided on the job training. Goodwill became like family to Sabrena, helping her through trying situations and letting her shine both in work and everyday life. Sabrena's life was changed by the power of work and Goodwill's mission.
