He appeared in probable cause court on Monday, where a judge set his bond at $200,000 total -- $100,000 for each felony charge.
If Alvarado Lopez meets his bond, the judge said he must obtain a portable alcohol testing device, be subjected to drug and alcohol testing, surrender his passport or other travel documents, stay in Harris County and adhere to a curfew.
The court determined that he is considered a flight risk and risk to community safety.
The decision on whether he can be eligible for personal bonds will be deferred to his next court appearance.
It was revealed in court that Alvarado Lopez is not a U.S. citizen and is from El Salvador. He has reportedly been in the U.S. for seven years and in the Houston area for five.
Alvarado Lopez was reportedly already out on bond for a driving while intoxicated charge in Collin County. Officials said he failed to appear in court for that charge and other previous charges.

Witnesses told police they saw the suspect drinking out of a can and traveling at a high rate of speed.
The 2-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alvarado Lopez was questioned by officers, who determined he was intoxicated. He reportedly told police he drank five 32-oz Bud Light beers, officials said in court.
