Its most recent incident happened on Wednesday when a big rig hit the structure around 4:30 p.m.
Lanes were reopened shortly after inspection on Wednesday evening, but this comes about three weeks after another 18-wheeler hit the bridge.
Back in February, the same story happened. A tall load hit the bridge.
This time, barely a day earlier, crews were onsite assessing a separate incident after a heavy truck hit the bridge, again slowing down the morning commute.
TxDOT said the Houston Avenue Bridge will be completely replaced in an upcoming White Oak Project. That work is expected to begin in 2025 and run through late 2027.
