Terran Green was initially wanted for allegedly shooting a Harris County sheriff's deputy Wednesday night during a traffic stop. Authorities said he fled the scene, prompting an intense manhunt.

On Thursday, that manhunt led authorities to a home in the 15100 block of Silhouette Ridge in the Sunset Ridge West neighborhood.
Authorities said three deputies, two with the U.S. Marshal Services and one Harris County Sheriff's deputy, were walking up to the home when a woman walked out with two children. The officers asked the woman if Terran was in the home, to which she said yes. The deputies then tried getting into the home when they were shot at.
One U.S. Marshal deputy suffered a gunshot wound to the lower leg, while the second deputy was hit by shrapnel in the upper arm. The Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy suffered two gunshots to the upper torso but was wearing his body armor, which authorities credit with saving his life.
Authorities said the deputies were not able to return fire on the suspect and retreated from the home, as the suspect barricaded himself.
This sparked an hourslong standoff, in which multiple law enforcement agents and heavy equipment were brought in to help arrest the suspect. At some point in the standoff, smoke was seen coming out of windows of the home, but it dissipated shortly after.
As the standoff was headed into its fifth hour, ABC13 cameras were still rolling at 11:45 p.m., when the suspect surrendered, riding out on a SWAT vehicle known as "The Rook."
"He was in the corner of the house, upstairs, is where he was located. He was basically cornered within a corner," Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said after Terran's arrest.
Prior to his arrest, Gov. Greg Abbott shared on X, formerly named Twitter, that a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to Terran's arrest is being offered. In addition, the FBI also offered $20,000, and Crime Stoppers offered $5,000.
Gonzalez also shared a photo of the deputy involved in Wednesday's shooting, identifying him as 29-year-old Joseph Anderson, who underwent surgery and is now reportedly stable.

At one point, authorities identified 37-year-old James Green, the passenger, as a second suspect in the initial crime. HCSO said he was located and questioned, but no charges were immediately filed. Details about his involvement remain unclear.
A Blue Alert, which is for wanted suspects who have either killed or seriously injured a law enforcement officer, was issued for both men overnight. Deputies did not say how the two suspects are related.
Overnight, the blue 2016 Ford Escape the suspect was last seen in was found at an apartment complex on Airtex Boulevard near Ella Boulevard, about 13 miles away from the original shooting scene. It's unclear what led investigators to the apartment complex in the first place.
The shooting happened at about 7:39 p.m. Wednesday in the 13500 block of Homestead Road near Greens Bayou. Gonzalez said the deputy was conducting a traffic stop, but within minutes, dispatchers received reports that an officer was down. Authorities said he was shot by someone in a blue SUV.
On Thursday afternoon, deputies returned to the area of the shooting. The dive team searched Greens Bayou, which is located a few hundred feet from the shooting.
Investigators said they were there looking for the gun involved in the shooting. They wanted to see if the alleged shooter tossed it as he took off.
"In an investigation like this, you want to eliminate all possibilities," Lt. David Jasper explained. "It's believed he was traveling northbound on Homestead. If he were to get rid of it. It's fairly common for people to do those things."
After two hours of searching the bayou, no weapon was found.

Team coverage: Search underway for gunman who shot deputy
That suspect was later identified as Terran, who they believe was driving the vehicle.
EMS arrived at the scene within minutes and began performing life-saving measures on Anderson until Life Flight arrived. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The deputy suffered two bullet wounds to his upper torso and was rushed into surgery.
Anderson has been with the department for 15 months, according to Gonzalez. He was reportedly working alone when he was shot.
"This person is obviously considered dangerous. They shot a deputy, and it's unacceptable," Gonzalez said. "We're not going to tolerate it -- not now and not at any point. We're going to do everything we can to bring him to justice."
Gonzalez asked the community to pray for Anderson as he recovers.
The suspects were originally stopped for speeding.
