CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- The Conroe Fire Department rescued three people and two dogs from a mobile home off Sapp Road and Pecan Bend Drive.
The family tells Eyewitness News they have moved into the mobile home on their property yesterday after a tree fell on their two story home. The property was already saturated with rain water when officials began releasing water from Lake Conroe this morning.
The family says their mobile home was quickly surrounded by water, so they called for help. Firefighters used a boat to get all three people and their two dogs to safety.
The homeowner says he's lived at the property for the last 14 years, and this has never happened before.
