Shelters and donation drop offs around Houston area

Shelters are open around the area for those displaced by the storm.

Emergency management officials urge evacuees to call centers before hand, if possible. Some shelters are beginning to reach capacity.

The Office of Emergency Management has created a website to help with donations drop off locations.

Many area mosques are centers for both shelters and donations. You can find more information on the Islamic Society's website.
