SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- It was a terrifying ordeal for a woman driving home from work early Sunday morning. Police say she she was blocked in by two other vehicles, then thrown into the back seat of her car.

It all started at around 2am after the 27-year-old victim left her job in north Houston. When she got to Wimberly Canyon Drive and Thistlerock, which is near her Sugar Land home, she says a red car rear-ended her, then a white SUV blocked the front of her vehicle.

She says several men approached her vehicle, displayed their guns and threw her in the back seat. They then reportedly demanded to know where she lived.

"A large group of men pulled her from her car, threw her in the backseat of the car displayed weapons and demanded that she take them to her house," said Doug Adolph, city of Sugar Land spokesperson.

She told police they took her house keys, money, passport and iPad. They also demanded the security code to her house and repeatedly asked about her boyfriend, with whom the victim lives.

Adolph said, "Several times during the course of this event, they asked for the location of the boyfriend. We think there's some sort of connection between the boyfriend and the criminals. We don't know what it is yet."

The suspects then drove the victim to her house in the 2200 block of Brushmeade Lane and went inside, reportedly looking for her boyfriend. He wasn't home. No items were taken from the home, but police say the suspects took a large amount of money from the victim.

The suspects reportedly later dropped her off in the 7400 block of Coldstone Creek Court. She ran to a nearby house for help.

Zack Hanke was sleeping when the victim ran out of her house and to his doorstep screaming for help.

"She was crying so hard she couldn't breathe, she was shaking," Hanke said.

He says he gave the victim some water and his cell phone so she could call police.

The suspects, described only as 'a large group of black males,' have not been caught. Police believe they may have been targeting the victim because of her boyfriend.
