SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX -- Four fisherman from Mexico have been rescued after their boat sank in the Gulf of Mexico about 22 miles from South Padre Island.

U.S. Coast Guard officials in Corpus Christi on Thursday reported all four men are in good condition following the rescue that also involved a Mexican shrimper.

A tanker crew on Wednesday night reported seeing two men clinging to a capsized Mexican fishing vessel. The Coast Guard located the men about 20 minutes later and dropped a life raft. The two rescued men reported two other crewmembers were missing.

The Coast Guard began an air and sea search.

Shortly before midnight Wednesday the crew of the Mexican shrimping vessel Don Isaac reported hearing cries for help coming from the water. The shrimper crew rescued those two men.
