KINGWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department arrested two men following a deadly car accident in Kingwood.
The crash happened around 2pm on Wednesday on Kingwood Drive near the Eastex freeway.
According to HPD, a Good Samaritan saw three suspects burglarizing cars in the parking lot of a nearby Lowe's and decided to follow the suspects.
Police said the suspects sped away from the Lowe's, ran a red light on Kingwood Drive and a red Toyota Tundra hit the suspect's vehicle at the intersection.
According to HPD, one of the suspects died at the scene. The other two suspects got out of their car and ran into the woods. Officers arrested the remaining suspects.
Officers shut down Kingwood Drive near Loop 494 for more than three hours investigating the crash.
