Officials: Truck hits bridge, shuts down multiple lanes on Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Multiple lanes on the Katy Freeway eastbound were shut down Monday afternoon after a vehicle struck the Houston Avenue bridge. The lanes reopened just before 6 p.m.

This is the second time in a week that an 18-wheeler has struck the bridge. Houston police said the driver in that separate accident was cited.
