One dead after five-car crash on SW Freeway

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- All outbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway were shut down at Westpark Drive for several hours on Saturday morning while authorities investigated a fatal car accident.

Officers say the accident happened around 2:30 Saturday morning.

Investigators confirm one adult is dead.

There appear to be at least five vehicles involved. Several cars suffered extensive damage in the crash.

No word at what caused the crash at this time.
