Grass fire on Gulf Freeway in Galveston County burning since Sunday

GALVESTON COUNTY, TEXAS (KTRK) -- A grass fire is still ablaze near Texas City.

The smoke from the flames has been reportedly about 1,000 feet high.

The flames appear to be spread out for miles along the Gulf Freeway, near the Galveston Causeway and Texas City Loop 197

Traffic has not been severely impacted.
