HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A fiery accident has shut down all inbound lanes of Hwy. 290 right before the I-10 interchange.
TXDOT says an 18 wheeler with no cargo caught on fire about 9:20am. It was the only vehicles involved.
Cameras show Houston firefighters were able to get the flames put out around 9:35am this morning. There are no reports of injuries.
All inbound traffic on 290 is being diverted to the Mangum exit. The HOV lane is also closed at this time.
TXDOT crews are now on scene to assess any damage to the roadway.
