Twitter trolls have driven swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen into hiding after she posted a message about the shooting this week in Canada.

The Sports Illustrated model is taking a break from twitter after she received dozens of threats.

Teigen posted this tweet:

active shooting in Canada, or as we call it in america, wednesday

A soldier died in that shooting and Teigen was using her tweet to make a point about gun control.

Thousands of her followers responded to the tweet. Some people supported her, while others felt like it was in bad taste.

After receiving hundreds of negative responses, Teigen tweeted this message late last night:

I feel sick. Bye Twitter. Taking my talents to instagram.
