Liberty County facing major communication outage

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- People in Liberty County may be experiencing a major communication outage after crews cut a fiber cable.

Many ABC13 viewers using different wireless services have complained about the outage, but only AT&T and Verizon Wireless have confirmed to Eyewitness News that their customers were affected.

AT&T says the outage affects its wireless, wireline and Internet subscribers.

Both companies say a third party provider accidentally cut the fiber cable and technicians are onsite working to resolve the issue.
