Yu Darvish has just become the hottest commodity on the trade market.
According to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, the Texas Rangers are "ready to move" the four-time All-Star and are willing to trade him before the July 31 deadline for the "right deal."
Where will the right-handed ace end up? Any chance he stays with the Rangers?
Darvish (6-8, 3.44 ERA) is expected to make his last start before the deadline on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins. The 30-year-old ranks fifth in the American League this season in strikeouts (143), seventh in WHIP (1.12) and ninth in wins above replacement (2.5).
If Darvish ends up on a World Series contender, it might be only for the remainder of the season. He will become a free agent in November.
At 48-51, the Rangers are 3.5 games behind the Kansas City Royals for the final wild-card spot.
