Sources: Texans release quarterback Brian Hoyer

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Sources tell Eyewitness News that the Houston Texans have released quarterback Brian Hoyer.

The release comes a month after adding former Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler. Hoyer played in 11 games for the Texans last season but was benched and faced poor play throughout the season.
