Terrelle Pryoris expected to sign Tuesday with the Browns, according to multiple reports.
Pryor is signing with the Browns as a wide receiver, but he also might serve as the Browns' No. 3 quarterback, multiple reports say.
Head coach Mike Pettine confirmed the Browns are talking about signing Pryor but added: "Nothing official."
Pryor, a former starting quarterback with Oakland, was in training camp this summer with Cleveland as a wide receiver, but was one of the last players cut.
The Browns were intrigued by his potential but decided not to keep him. However, with wide receivers Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel sidelined with concussions, the Browns have a major need at the position.
Pryor can also play quarterback, which could give the Browns some insurance with starter Josh McCowndone for the season with a broken collarbone. McCown was injured in the fourth quarter of Monday night's 33-27 loss to the Ravens.
