Michigan StatecommitCaleb Swaniganhas decommitted from the Spartans, sources told ESPN.
The 6-foot-8 Swanigan is ranked No. 9 in the country by ESPN, and gave Tom Izzo and Michigan State a verbal pledge on April 10.
Swanigan was also heavily considering Cal, but sources told ESPN that Purduecould be his final destination. His mentor and guardian, Roosevelt Barnes, is a former star linebacker with the Boilermakers and also played in the NFL.
One source said that Purdue could also make sense because Matt Painter already has a pair of 7-footers -- which would enable Swanigan to play power forward.
