HOUSTON --Rocketscoach Mike D'Antoni said Sunday that starting power forward Ryan Anderson will miss the next two weeks with a sprained right ankle.
D'Antoni said tests on Anderson's ankle came back negative.
Anderson suffered the injury in Friday's victory over the New Orleans Pelicans as he defended a shot against DeMarcus Cousins.
"The important thing is he can play two or three games before we get into the playoffs," D'Antoni said. "And it looks like he will be on that timetable, we won't push it, and we'll deal with whatever and hopefully he'll be back sooner rather than later."
On the season, Anderson is averaging 13.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
