The Houston Rockets made qualifying offers to restricted free agents Patrick Beverley and K.J. McDaniels on Tuesday, sources told ESPN.com.
The Rockets offered Beverley, their starting point guard, a one-year, $2.73 million deal and reserve forward McDaniels one year at $1.045 million, sources said. Each player is seeking more money in free agency.
Beverley started 55 games for the Rockets, averaging 10.1 points and 3.4 assists per game last season, before undergoing season-ending left wrist surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks also contacted Beverley after the start of free agency Tuesday night, sources told ESPN.com.
McDaniels was acquired in a Feb. 19 trade from Philadelphia in exchange for Isaiah Canaan and a second-round pick. McDaniels was a 2014 second-round selection by the Philadelphia 76ers.
McDaniels saw little playing time with the Rockets, 10 total games, before he suffered a non-displaced fracture in his right elbow in the last game of the regular season. He has recovered from the injury.
The Rockets also have three unrestricted free agents: Jason Terry, Corey Brewer and Josh Smith.
