Pearland Little League team back home
Family and friends welcomed home the Pearland Little League team at Bush Intercontinental Airport

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Pearland All-Stars are back home after their run in the Little League World Series.

The team arrived at Bush Intercontinental Airport just before three Saturday afternoon. The team was welcomed by family member and friends some of which were holding up signs.

"Oh, it was a blast. It was like a Disney World for 12 year olds. It was amazing," said player Trey Maker.

The team was eliminated earlier this week after playing against Chicago in Williamsport, PA. Pearland did manage to place fourth in the world, beating out about 7,000 other teams.

"It's mainly for the kids. They've enjoyed it, so if they enjoy it, then us coaches, we enjoy it as well," said Coach Don Smith.

Many of the players said they are glad to be back home. Maker said he's just ready to sleep in his own bed. Many of the players have this weekend to rest since school starts on Monday.
