Free-agent guard Michael Carter-Williams has agreed to a one-year, $1.75 million minimum contract with the Houston Rockets, league sources told ESPN.
He joins the Rockets' backcourt bench rotation behind NBA MVP James Harden and All-Star point guard Chris Paul.
Carter-Williams, the 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year, will be joining his fifth team in five seasons.
Carter-Williams played 52 games, averaging 16 minutes and 4.6 points in Charlotte a season ago. He's averaging 11.5 points and 4.9 assists for his career.
