ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills star running back LeSean McCoy elaborated Friday on the setback he suffered last month in his recovery from an ongoing hamstring injury, telling reporters that he has a Grade 2 pull and that the team told him it's typically a three- to four-week injury.

McCoy has been officially ruled out for the Bills' game Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. His status remains uncertain for the Bills' remaining two games before their bye week: vs. Cincinnati(Oct. 18) and at Jacksonvillein London (Oct. 25).

"It's all about how you feel, how you feel each day, with treatments and rehabs," McCoy said. "So the injury may say that, but everybody is different. Everybody's body responds differently. I'm a quick healer, so I should be fine. I doubt it will take four weeks for me to get back."

McCoy, who told reporters last week that he aggravated his hamstring injury in practice before the Bills' trip to Miami in Week 3, has not practiced since rushing 11 times for 16 yards in the Bills' win over the Dolphins.

"I think I just made it worse," McCoy said Friday. "That's the mindset: Whether you're hurt or not, you need to go out there and play. I just feel I won't help my team out being hurt. I'd rather come back 100 percent and be the player that everybody was expecting instead of out there on one leg. So that's the truth."

Without McCoy and rookie Karlos Williams, who was also ruled out Friday because of a concussion, the Bills will turn to Boobie Dixon, Cierre Wood and Boom Herron in their backfield Sunday against the Titans.

The Bills could also be without top receiver Sammy Watkins, who is listed as questionable with a calf injury.

"I don't know if I'm going to play or not," Watkins said Friday. "But if it's an emergency, if I need to play, I think I'll play. But you just never know with this situation. They might hold me out. I don't even know the situation right now."

Watkins took part in three or four plays in Friday's practice, he said, after not practicing Wednesday and Thursday. He will test his injury before the game Sunday and doctors will make the final decision on his status.
