DETROIT -- Calvin Johnson smiled at the podium and proceeded to thank almost everyone who helped him reach yet another milestone.

This is what happens for the Detroit Lions receiver when he breaks another record, as he did Thursday during his team's 34-17 win over the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day. He passed 10,000 yards receiving in the game -- the 115th of his career -- and became the fastest player in NFL history to do so.

He broke the record set by former receiver Torry Holt, who hit 10,000 career receiving yards in 116 games.

"That's big, especially for a receiver," Johnson said. "To be able to do it, in the fashion that we were able to do it and with the help I have from the rest of my teammates, we all share and take part in that.

"It's big."

Johnson needed 94 yards entering Thursday's game to reach the mark and ended up getting every yard he needed in the first half. In all, Johnson had 11 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns, bringing his career yardage to 10,052 yards.

Johnson also moved into 43rd place all time in receiving yards, passing Eric Moulds. Next up on that list would be Shannon Sharpe, who had 10,060 yards from 1990 to 2003.

Johnson also moved up the career 100-yard games mark Thursday. With his 42nd 100-yard game, Johnson is now tied for 15th all time with Hall of Famer Cris Carter.
