CLEVELAND -- Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel signed some money before Sunday's 24-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Manziel was seen well before kickoff signing a $100 bill near the tunnel leading to the Browns locker room. He appeared to sign the bill "Money Manziel," a reference to the nickname he had when he was at Texas A&M.
The quarterback went on to complete 21 of 31 passes for 270 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Manziel gave what came to be known as the "money sign" after touchdowns until this season. After he left a 10-week rehab program during the offseason, Manziel said in June that he was doing away with the money sign.
Last Sunday on his birthday, he tweeted a birthday greeting to himself that included a picture of him giving the money sign.
"I think it was just a happy birthday thing on the Internet," Manziel said during the week of the photo. "That's just a nonfactor, at least from my point of view. I know you guys like to talk about it a lot, but I wouldn't look too much into it."
