Joe Thomas sees change for the better in Browns QB Johnny Manziel

Count Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas among the believers that quarterback Johnny Manziel has changed after a 10-week stay in rehab.

"To see the guy that's in the building right now is night and day from where he was last year in his commitment," Thomas told NFL Network on Tuesday. "He has a bright future ahead of him."

Thomas, an eight-time Pro Bowl selection, said earlier this offseason that Manziel would have to win back the trust of his teammates because of the way he handled himself once he became the starter last season.

However, Thomas said that has changed now and that Manziel has impressed Browns players and coaches during voluntary offseason workouts.

"Last year, on a Saturday, you might see a picture of him on Instagram floating in a swan, drinking champagne," Thomas told NFL Network. "This year, on a Saturday, if you came in the building, you'd see him studying his playbook and watching film with his coach.

"So it's pretty apparent he's realized how important football is to him. And he's realized that in the NFL, you can't get away with maybe some of the things he did in college because it's a big boy's game now."
