JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars running back Chris Ivory was released from a local hospital Tuesday, and the team says his status Sunday for an away game against the San Diego Chargers remains uncertain.
Ivory had been hospitalized since Sunday morning for what the team said was a general medical condition and later described as a non-football injury.
He had been limited in practice last week with a calf injury, but the reason for his hospitalization was unrelated.
The Jaguars released a statement Tuesday afternoon that said Ivory was doing well.
Ivory posted to Instagram that he "can't wait to be back with my teammates."
Ivory signed a five-year, $32 million contract with the Jaguars in March. He rushed for 4,031 yards and 24 touchdowns in six seasons with the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets.
