Atascocita will try to build on its most successful season to date when it takes the field this fall.

The Eagles advanced to the Region II-5A area playoffs, their first playoff berth in four years, and enjoyed their first 10 win season in school history but things get a little trickier for them this season.

Atascocita, which finished 10-2 overall, graduated all-everything quarterback Greg Campbell and will play in the new District 16-6A, which features Conroe ISD schools The Woodlands, Conroe, Oak Ridge, College Park in addition to Summer Creek and Kingwood.

Replacing Campbell will be sophomore quarterback Daveon Boyd, who helped the Eagles to the state 7-on-7 tournament in the summer. Boyd impressed coaches with a strong spring camp that carried over into the summer and fall camps.
