Excitement and congratulations abound as Houston Astros win World Series

The Houston Astros defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 on Wednesday night, winning their first-ever championship and capping off a thrilling Fall Classic that lasted seven games.

Astros players -- and team mascot Orbit -- took to social media to share the excitement of winning the World Series. Carlos Correa didn't tweet immediately following the win but celebrated byproposing to his girlfriend during a postgame interview.

Several members of the Dodgers' organization also shared their thoughts socially following the tough loss.
