For the first time in a long time, the Episcopal football team has a full nine-game schedule.

Like everyone, a couple of years ago, the Knights played 10 regular season games, but three years ago, the Southwest Preparatory Conference expanded its playoff field from four teams to eight by going with two different division - Big School and Small School based on enrollment - and everyone went to nine games.

Except Episcopal, which seemed to have only eight games. Two years ago, they opened the season in Minnesota, but last year didn't have an opener because the team from Minnetonka didn't come to Houston. Also two years ago, they played in Minnesota to start the year but later in the season, had a game against Brookshire Royal cut short by weather, which gave them actually like seven-and-a-half games.

But this year, weather permitting, they will have a full schedule and hopefully another playoff berth in the SPC Big School Division. In 2012, in the first year of such a playoff, they lost in the championship game to Kinkaid and last year were eliminated in the first round by Dallas St. Mark's.
