Kevin Durant will not play for the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers because of his sprained right ankle.

The game will be the third straight he has missed because of the injury.

Durant, 26, is averaging 22.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists.

On Monday, Thunder coach Scott Brooks said Durant was progressing well but that his availability was uncertain.

"Every day we're going to evaluate him," Brooks said. "We won't know he's ready to play until that day. But every day he's getting a little better."

Durant sprained his ankle Thursday against the Warriors after stepping on Marreese Speights' foot shortly before halftime.
