PLAYA VISTA, Calif. -- Los Angeles Clippers forward Glen Davis was fined $5,000 by the NBA for violating the league's anti-flopping rules during Game 3 of the team's conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets.
Davis flailed his arms and fell down after getting bumped with 1:09 remaining in the first quarter of the Clippers' 124-99 victory over the Rockets on Friday night at Staples Center.
"I don't care; as long as we get away with it, I'm fine," coach Doc Rivers said Saturday. "I want them to catchCorey [Brewer]every time he does it. There's been some [flopping in this series]. No doubt."
It was the third fine the league has imposed during this series after Brewerof the Rockets was fined $5,000 for flopping in Game 2 and Clippers forward Matt Barnes was fined $50,000 for directing inappropriate language toward James Harden's mother in Game 2.
