Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones is "doing fine" after he was released from the hospital Wednesday night after being treated for symptoms related to a migraine headache.
"I was just with him," coach Urban Meyer said on his weekly radio show on WBNS 97.1 The Fan. "He had a migraine, and he had it in high school once or twice. The pain on a scale of 1-10 was an 8, but he's doing much better. He'll be limited in practice today, but he'll practice and throw. It's third-down day today, so we need him out there. He's fine."
The univesity issued a statement earlier Thursday morning saying that Jones was "doing fine" and was released after being examined at OSU Wexner Medical Center on Wednesday night.
The redshirt junior was taken to an emergency roomwith symptoms related to a migraine headache a few hours after the top-ranked Buckeyes wrapped up practice ahead of Monday's season opener atVirginia Tech.
Jones has been competing with J.T. Barrett for Ohio State's first-team quarterback job during training camp after he led a remarkable three-game run through the postseason en route to the national championship in the first starts of his career.
