SEATTLE -- The Houston Astros placed outfielder Jake Marisnick on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain on Friday and activated outfielder Colby Rasmus off the bereavement list.
Marisnick, hitting .245 with five homers and 20 RBIs, was removed in the eighth inning of Thursday's 8-4 victory at Colorado because of the injury.
"I'm not sure how he's going to be," Astros manager A.J. Hinch said following Thursday's game.
George Springer, hitting .277 with 10 homers and 24 RBIs, moved to center field from his usual right-field spot for Friday's game against the Seattle Mariners, which the Astros lost 5-2.
Second baseman Jose Altuve left Wednesday's game with a hamstring problem and has not played since.
"He's day-to-day and today's not the day," Hinch said before Friday's game.
