HOUSTON -- Astros right-hander Scott Feldman is expected to miss about six weeks after arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Feldman was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday after having surgery to repair a torn medial meniscus. He was injured fielding a ground ball in his last start Tuesday. Feldman, who is in his second year in Houston, is 4-4 with a 4.80 ERA in 10 starts this year.

"He's a really stable part of our club. So losing him for five or six weeks is a tough blow," manager A.J. Hinch said.

The Astros called up right-hander Michael Feliz from Double-A Corpus Christi to take his spot on the roster. This will be the major league debut for Feliz, who pitched just one game for Corpus Christi after being called up from Class A Lancaster this week.

Left-hander Brett Oberholtzer, on the disabled list with a blister on his left index finger, is scheduled to be activated and take Feldman's spot in the rotation Monday.
