HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Well, you know it's summer when the ballparks start getting busy!
Hundreds of local kids are taking baseball lessons this summer with the Astros Urban Academy.
Many of them wouldn't be able to afford baseball lessons or daycare, but this camp is free.
Many kids in the program have gone on to play college and professional baseball.
"Never give up," said Hunter Waldon, 12. "When you feel like you want to quit, just think of the fun that's in baseball."
You have to be 7-17 years old to sign up. Camp is held at 2801 S. Victory Drive in Houston. For more information, go to the Astros Foundation website.
