Houston Astros lefty and reigning American League Cy Young winner Dallas Keuchel said Friday that his throwing shoulder is structurally sound, but he does not have a timetable to return as he continues to deal with inflammation in the area.

Keuchel, who last pitched Aug. 27 against the Tampa Bay Rays, told reporters that he won't throw again until after Sunday.

After allowing two runs in seven innings against the Rays, Keuchel had his next start pushed back because he felt fatigue in his shoulder.

"We'll play that by ear and go from there," said Keuchel, who played catch Sunday. "I don't like to miss any time, whether I'm feeling good or not. But I knew it was something that I couldn't push through and it was more detrimental to the team than to let somebody else step in and fill in my shoes.

"That was the most difficult, but I know I'm not to the point of where I can give five or six innings of good pitching. I knew at that point, it was time to say something and rest up."

Keuchel is 9-12 with a 4.55 ERA in 26 starts and was 3-1 with a 3.10 ERA in August.

Meanwhile, shortstop Carlos Correa missed his third straight game Friday as he continues to try to recover from inflammation in his left shoulder.

Correa is batting .274 with 19 home runs, 90 RBIs and 12 stolen bases in 134 games. Houston is 2 1/2 games behind Baltimore for the second AL wild-card spot.
