Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson hold on to top four spots

With wins by each of the top four teams this past weekend, the College Football Playoff rankings remain unchanged at the top ahead of an intriguing rivalry weekend slate of games.



Alabama, Ohio State, Michiganand Clemsoncontinue to hold the inside track for spots in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.



The biggest game of this coming weekend will pit the Buckeyes against the Wolverines, while the Crimson Tide will play a stout Auburnteam in the Iron Bowl. Clemson will face in-state rival South Carolina.



While the top teams held steady, a stunning loss by Louisvilleknocked the Cardinals from No. 5 all the way down to No. 11. Louisville's pain was Washington's gain, as the Huskies moved up to No. 5 ahead of their Apple Cup showdown against No. 23 Washington State.



Also benefiting from Louisville's 36-10 loss to Houston(now ranked 20th), were Wisconsin, Penn State, Oklahoma, Coloradoand Oklahoma State, which all moved up one spot and round out the top 10.



Surging USCslots in at No. 12 behind the Cardinals. The Trojans are followed by No. 13 Auburn, which has a chance to make a statement if the Tigers can deliver top-ranked Alabama its first loss of the season on Saturday.



The Tigers are followed by a pair of Florida teams, with the Seminoles and Gators checking in at Nos. 14 and 15. They are followed by Nebraska, Tennesseeand West Virginia.



A trio of Group of 5 teams come bunched together, as No. 19 Boise State, No. 20 Houston and No. 21 Western Michiganall hope to land the coveted spot in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.



A pile of Pac-12 teams separate No. 25Navy Midshipmenfrom the rest of the Group of 5 teams, as Utah, Washington State and Stanfordmake up Nos. 22-24.
