Aaron Williams released from hospital

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. --Buffalo Bills safety Aaron Williams has been released from the hospital after suffering a neck injury Sunday that resulted in the defensive back being immobilized and taken off the field in an ambulance.

The Bills announced that Williams was released from the hospital Sunday night after undergoing a series of medical tests.

Williams' father said in a tweet that his son has full movement in his extremities.

Bills safety Duke Williams was one of several players around Williams as he was moved to an ambulance and said he did not see his teammate moving.

"They had told me that he had landed on the side of his neck and he was motionless while he was down," Duke Williams said. "We're concerned about him, so hopefully he's all right.

"Guys go down all the time, and when you see guys not moving, that's a concern. Now it's not about football anymore. It's about that person's health, and I'm just praying for him and his family, hoping he's all right."

Aaron Williams was injured diving while trying to tackle Julian Edelman at the end of a 22-yard touchdown reception. An ambulance was called to the edge of the field, and play was stopped for more than 15 minutes while Williams was transported off the field.

The entire Bills bench huddled together in a prayer led by team chaplain James Trapp after Williams was moved to the ambulance.

Williams, 25, is in his fifth season with the Bills and his third as their starting safety.
