FALL RIVER, Mass. -- The jury has ended deliberations for a second day in the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez.

Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh sent the 12-member jury home Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. So far, jurors have spent nine hours deliberating the case over two days.

On Wednesday, they asked questions to clarify two weapon and ammunition possession charges Hernandez faces in addition to the murder charge.

Hernandez is charged in the June 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd, who was dating his fiancee's sister. Lloyd was shot six times in an industrial park less than a mile from Hernandez's home.

Jurors must deliberate every day from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and they may go later if they wish.
